Futures in Physics

Part of the National Levelling Up: Physics suite of programmes.

Eligibility

In addition to the standard eligibility criteria, you must also be studying the following subjects (or their equivalents) to be considered for the Physics programme:

  • A-Level Physics
  • A-Level Mathematics

How does the Physics Programme work?

As part of the Physics programme, you will be allocated:

  • A tutorial group (approx. 7 – 10 participants per group)
  • A Physics programme tutor-mentor

The Physics programme takes place during the school term-time from March of Year 12 through to May of Year 13, with a different A-level Physics topic discussed in each three-week cycle as shown below:

Three-Week Programme Cycle

Participants attend a one-hour online tutorial with a tutor-mentor and up to 10 other participants.

Questions relating to the topic and the self-study pack from the previous cycle will be addressed and discussions facilitated between the participants and the tutor-mentor.
